The Cost of a Bodrum Rental Villa Holiday

Turkey has been a popular holiday destination with the British for many years, with Bodrum being a particular favourite. While the value of the pound has fallen by over 30% against the Euro, the Turkish Lira has risen by 5% over the same period. This makes what was already a low cost holiday destination even better value for money when compared to Spain, France or Cyprus.

Renting a private villa offers the flexibility of having your own spacious home, with the freedom to eat out or in as you please, and able to come and go as you please.

Overall renting your own villa offers you the best of all holiday worlds as many of the hotels in the surrounding area will welcome you and indeed collect you and bring you home after an evening's entertainment at the establishment of your choice.
Flights to Bodrum, Turkey
Charter flights from many regional airports in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland fly into Bodrum International airport which is 45 minutes to the holiday rental villa. The flight duration from Gatwick Airport is around 3 hours 45 minutes. Flights generally start in early May, ending in the final week of October. Thomas Cook however appear to be flying from Manchester, East Midlands and Gatwick from mid-March to mid-November.

It really pays to shop around the charter flight companies own web sites and a couple of the travel supermarket websites. Currently Thomas Cook have some very good prices for Spring and early Summer and for October. Easyjet's pricing seems to move around frequently - the earlier you book with Easyjet, the cheaper it seems to be. Click on the links to visit each of these websites. Looking at flight availability for May suggests that demand is high for 2009.

Comparing Holiday Costs
To give an idea of cost of a holiday staying at our holiday rental villa, to make it easier to compare with alternatives, we have given some examples below of the cost of a 2 week (14 night) holiday. The flights are based on a search on the Cheap Flights website on 18th March 2009, from London Gatwick on a daytime flight, with 4 adults traveling and includes return transfers from Bodrum airport to the Villa, and a 20% early booking discount.
